The main issues that are addressed by our Agriculture & Rural Development Department include: production of cash and food crops, animal production, irrigation, food security enhancement, rural credit, small business development, integrated community development and rural infrastructure.

The Agriculture & Rural Development Department is actually leading an International Consortium involved in the EU Framework Contract : Lot 1 Rural Development and Food Security . In the scope of this Framework Contract, AGRIFOR Consult is present worldwide to bring Short and Long term Technical Assistance in the field of Agriculture, Food security, Breeding, Rural infrastructure, but also in the field of micro-economics, Business Development. The type of services carried out by our consultants include not only the technical aspects but also the institutional and administrative aspects of the assistance.

Beside the projects carried out in the scope of the framework contract, The Agriculture & Rural Development Department is involved in numerous long term projects covering the field of specialisation described here above. For example, AGRIFOR is presently leading a project that aims to restore the Seed sector in Kosovo. AGRIFOR is also leading a project of Technical Assistance to the track’s rehabilitation and maintenance in Benin. Another Project aims at providing TA to the improvement of the irrigation network in a state of the Niger. AGRIFOR is also working in the development of the Horticultural plan of Mali.
