The overall objective of the project is to promote good environmental governance and improve sustainable development and management of natural resources in Sierra Leone. The purposes/specific objectives of the TA Service Contract are as follows: To strengthen the institutional/organizational set-up and build the capacity of the Sierra Leone Environment Protection Agency (SLEPA) to effectively deliver its mandate.

The experts results are:

- Improved technical capacity and managerial skills within SLEPA (Result 1);

- Harmonised and conducive policy and legislative framework for ENRM (Result 2);

- Improved/Effective Planning, Coordination and networking with relevant stakeholders (Result 3);

- Environmental and Natural Resources Assessments & Monitoring Capacity enhanced (Result 4);

- Community Participation/Outreach and Environmental education and awareness improved throughout the country (Result 5).
